Not very sweet as I had harvested them a bit earlier.

It was same with my pumpkin plant but you will note that your plant is taking new growth from other end which means your plant will keep on surviving. But if it is not so than you should really worry about them. If there is one fruit per plant than you are likely to get a larger pumpkin .

OR
If you have a large container try this variety of melon.
And you can get a 1 kg melon in just 52 days as compared to 70 days to maturity of armenian cucumber.
