Indeed, it smells like chewing gum, some one teaching at Karachi University gave me these cuttings,apparently they have it growing there in abundance.komel adil wrote:does it smell fruity like a bubble gum?

So you don't keep tab on your maali, you went to check your garden in Sept 2014 and now again in Feb 2015?
Had you yourself would have been more involved and then you would have detected it in time if petunia seedling didn't germinated.. Now maybe you can buy some petunia pots from nursery.

@arfarsh leaf compost = Patoun ki Khaad,(basically old composted crushed leaves) coco coir = Its fibre of coconut husk(Used in finely grinded form as well as in chunks form.) You can use google images to search for difficult to understand terms. https://www.google.com.pk/search?q=coco+coir&es_sm...

If u need to cover a large area then it would be wiser to buy it from wholesale hardware market like Marriot Road opp Khori Garden near city courts,M A Jinnah Road or BhoraPir hardware market.

My nursery wala called it "Suraa-e-Champa" ,don't know if he is correct or just made up the name himself. Bought 5 pots of same size as shown in pic for Rs 40 each but they just have leaves so far and no flower,its commonly available red color one. They were grown from seed by nurserywala.
