Yawer you might want to disclose how much water resource you would have on an average first. Since its a plateau region, you may look into the agricultural practices there. I have read that corn and barley are the top crops there. What about citrus plants, have you looked into that?

I did the pickling with Calamondin orange. Few relatives kinda liked it but i didnt enjoy it. Dont have a clue about the jam making process.

My trees have the same problem. I am glad i found this thread. I will be spraying the plant with neem oil mixture tomorrow as other growers have mentioned this to be effective on leaf miners. If it doesnt work, will go towards pesticide.
