Dear Najam, Which soap did you try? The handwashing soaps are very gentle. When we mentioned soap - it meant few drops of dishwashing liquids
plus garlic extract as explained above. Add enough dishwashing liquid (one drop at a time) that you should feel that water as "slippery" when you rub you fingers.

Sorry to hear that...homemade recipes don't always work. May be quantities of garlic and soap were lower- hence less effective. May be the white flies had a good shower :-) But if you still like homemade recipes I have two for you, I have experimented with them.
1) Boil tobacco leaves in water and spray that. Keep in mind it is a brown colored staining liquid. So I would not recommend that.
2) This is quite effective on mealy bugs and other nuisances- dry reetha In Urdu and soapwort , Boil half a kg in water very well. Strain and spray. This solution is extremely bitter and potentially toxic as well. Use with caution!
