Motia Problem

Post by Mustansir Billah »

I have motia plant which looks healthy to me and it is also developing buds vigorously but some of the buds are turning brown and not developing for no reason but others are developing as normal with normal fragrance, shape etc. What probably can be the reason???

No it can not be due to sunlight because mine is getting 2 or less hours of sunlight.

I recall reading somewhere that this is normal and not all buds of this plant develop.

U r himself a gardening expert I feel shy suggesting solution of ur problem.

however, prolong dry, hot weather and low humidity level usually caused of this problem. Check ur water application, Low watering or high watering are the main causes. Also check the plant for the insect especially spider mites.
excess fertilizers/pesticide also can be a cause.

The same problem was with my petunia I increased it watering and humidity (because weather was dry and hot) my problem solved.

JazakAllah Bilal sb. I respect your opinion maybe as you have said this is due to over fertilizing. and I am not a expert just exploring. JazakAllah Farhan sb. all buds were developing till last summer.
