Re: Papaya
Peshawar would be too cold for them. Not an ideal place for growing papayas.

Re: Papaya
I think you should succeed in Peshawar also.I have seen Papaya doing well in Mangla & Chakwal, which have weather similar to Peshawar.Even Islamabad is generally just a degree a lower. The Plant is doing great with a friend at Pindi, now for years.I myself have planted two about six months back, which are doing well- reached 6 ft+ starting at 1ft.The nursery owner at Patoki from whom I got these, loudly claimed-though may sound tall, 'that after eating this fruit one would forget the other fruits'. So please go ahead without further ado. You don't loose much if not succeed, but gain a lot if you do.

Mine get defoliated by humans I cant refuse (Dengue patients).Mustansir Billah wrote:Got eaten up by Goats on Eid-ul-Adha after planting in ground at my maternal grandmothers house.whitetiger297 wrote:Mustansir any update of your papaya???
Those who survive the defoliation of winter and in summer by Dengue patients do fruit well.
