I uprooted Some of the plants because of minimum space in pot.

This is still a very small container to grow a Papaya, you should use the biggest size of container and plant only a single plant in it, a large barrel size container will do.

Not have an Idea that they can grow in Peshawar but I got seeds from the papaya available in the market and there seeds are very easy to sprout i.e Every seed will sprout.

Why do you want to follow a legthty & an unreliable process of growing through seeds & then wait? Simply get plants (at least 3 for cross polination) from a nursery for Rs.50-80 a piece. I see no reason for their non-availability at Peshawar. Now adays very good foreign varieties are available in our market, which start yealding fruit at an early age & short height & I believe are very tasty. Some Nurseries call them hybrid & claim that they are self polinating, thus even a single tree would bear fruit.Wala- alam! May be some body else in the forum can comment on this.

I concur with munir sahib that rather following a lenghty procedure of trying to grow from seeds you can buy established plants for rs 80. The Thai rhybrid is self fertile meaning you dont have to plant male and female separately and can be bought for rs 150-200. Plant at least 5 or 6 them as papayas tend to collapse after 5 or 6 years as their is weaker compared to other trees. If planting local papayas then 1 male for 9 females.

I am doubtful about papaya in Peshawar. It will be severely affected by frost itself and temperatures below 10 Deg C for longer duration. Maybe with protection. Anyone growing papaya in Islo or Peshawar????
