Sir, I feel your water issue is not a problem. The water timers can be adjusted to turn on/off to the precise minute. Both the electronic and the valve-type that connects to faucet.
If u chose to use your main tank supply that's not much of an issue either. Your house water supply won't be affected. You would however need to utilise the services of a plumber. He'd put a tee in the main line and get a separate line for your irrigation needs. The pressure in your houses faucets won't be affected. So don't worry that won't be a limitation to any ambitions/plans u might have

TALAHAS Drip irrigation system intrigues me.
I have about 300 pots of various sizes mostly Amaryllis, at the roof top and about sixty again of different sizes having annuals and perennials. It can be of a great help to me.
Even Talha in his garden has this size variation, obviously the water requirement of each plant and water retention of each pot varies, how it is controlled with a common timer switch.
Will I need one tube, one controller and a timer for each pot for each pot?
Arif

Sir, the drippers used per pot are of different specification rate for water flow.. which is mentioned in gallon/hour or liter/hour...

So there will be one dipper for an 8 inch pot, another for a 10 inch pot and so on and even in the same size pots with different size of plants you would be using different flow dippers, tubing remaining the same.Izhar wrote:Sir, the drippers used per pot are of different specification rate for water flow.. which is mentioned in gallon/hour or liter/hour...
I need to go through the complete post again for better comprehension.
Thanks

Yes, tubing remains same but the drippers change- drippers are rated according to flow rate in Liters per hour (LPH) or Gallons per hour (GPH).. So a small pot you may use 0.5 GPH and a larger 1 GPH and so on..

Izhar and hnasir explained it precisely. Every manufacturer color codes their drippers/mini sprinklers.
