What in your opinion is going wrong with this Amaryllis growing in Daylily bed, it's older leaves are burning starting from tip even though the summer has been mild.

It could be an issue with the leaching of the nutrients in the soil especially lack of Potassium. Potassium also plays an important role in disease resistance and chlorophyll apart from fruit and flower formation. Deficiency of Potassium can occur if the soil bed has sandy soil and getting high rainfall which is common these days.

I personally think it is due to over fertilisation, the concentration of fertiliser at the tip due to evaporation has caused it. Nothing to worry about.
