Living Room Nano Garden

Asalam u Alikum,

I just join this website, I've growing interest in plants when I design my home in Karachi, I create/dedicate small portion of my living room for plants (picture attach) , I made two attempts but my plants not grow or damage after few weeks, I've couple of questions from experts here

What are the best plants I can grow inside ?
I'm much interested in flowers ( with colors and fragrance )
Or any veggies or fruit , if they can grow inside.
Do I need to place gaps while putting plants from pots to garden?
It has only half an hour direct sunlight but even at day time it has electricity tube light, will this make any effect ?

These plants will not grow in such low light.... try ferns and aglaonema...
