Initially my Gardenias were not growing well, but now after improvement of PH they have grown over 6 feet, I want to restrict them to 2-3 feet.
Should I go for a drastic pruning if so WHEN ? and how much?

Spring blooming will decline by May so June would be better suited... i will prune in June too but i am planning to prune 6-8 inches only...

They are semi dormant nowadays and I think they will die if pruned in this state....
