Humic acid & Soil conditioners are very common here.they are used to regularize the soil PH.because of over feeding of DAP the soil has became highly alkaline so its used to lower the alkaline level.you can get it from any good agriculture store.another thing farmers are gradually replacing DAP with super phosphate.this year many farmers are applying super phosphates into soil before wheat sowing instead of DAP.
Izhar i,l ask the fresh rates in the market for Humic acid.

well Farhan do should share the results by using it on your plants, if they are promising enough then it will be a very good thing for us..

Umar, the use of DAP extensively cause the soil to become acidic (due to ammonium ions) rather then alkaline, now making the soil towards acidic side is good for our soils but the problem arises by the deposition of phosphates which inhibits some of the micro-nutrient uptake by the plants.. Humic acids are in formulation of Potassium humate (pH 8-10, very alkaline), so they provide potassium as well as the organic acid i.e. Humic acid (very weak acid, doesnt acidify soil)... i have experimented the use of potassium humate on Bonanza Jafri plants, NO SIGNIFICANT RESULTS WERE OBSERVED..!!
I have read much about the use of Humic acid, none of the studies prove that they are something very good for the yield.. however, the areas where the soils completely lack the organic matter can show improvement...

I recently used humic acid in form of granules from arain seeds lahore. I have read a lot that it will improve soil, let us see. Because i mostly use containers, i extensively use leaf compost as soil conditioner and it makes drainage good too. I will also use super phosphate for first time in low quantity for bulbs this season, before that i was content with liquid NPK.
