An unbiased assessment of a fragrant plant to my mind should be on point system, maximum 10 points for each Quality.
Fragrance, quality/intensity
Beauty
Profusion of blooms
Blooming period

My assessment for various plants is as follows;
Frangipani, Fragrance=9, Beauty = 6, PB = 10 Bl period = 10, total = 35
Quis quails Double 8 7 10 8 =33
Motia 8 7 7 6 =28
Rose 7 9 5 6 =27
Marwa 6 6 8 6 =26
Gardinia 8 8 4 4 =24
Rat ki Rani 6 3 8 6 =23
Nargas 9 8 2 2 =21
Tube Rose 7 5 3 3 =18

Let us have assessment of your choice of plants.

. A very good idea of this poll,as it would help draw up a consensus list of Fragrant plants,in which most of us would be interested, particularly those planning to lay/relay their gardens.However,I suggest that a uniform weightage scale may not be used for assessing the four 'qualities' of the Fragrant plants.,as it is liable to lead us to wrong comparitive conclusions/impression of these plants.Alternatively & preferably,while the assessment of each quality may be done on this scale,they should not be totalled. My reasons: the very name/title of the plants suggests that a much greater weightage be given to fragrance than other qualities ie,beauty,profusion of blooms,blooming period. In fact,we should first compare them on the basis of fragrance only,then if two plants are equal we should next consider them on the basis of beauty, which is an all time feature of plants & if still there is a tie then we could consider the remaining two (together as they are complimentary to each other).This would then give the overall profile/personality of various FRAGRANT PLANTS & their place on a comparative scale.
. There may be some other plants also for which some members have a special liking/fancy eg,Pandanus, Din ka Raja,Datura etc,which too may be included by them.
. My own assessment would follow soon; after approaval of the above by Brig Arif.
