My potted Michelia Champaca bloomed today. Very strong fragrance but not as sweet as alba. It filled my whole courtyard. I will post pics tomorrow.

Grafted or Air layered?
One of my two Champaca seedlings is in bloom for the last one month, the flowers are too high for a decent picture next time I will take a tele-lens and hope it is still blooming.

Brig Saheb this is grafted. Bought from Model Town last year. It's a Thai import. I am amazed at its performance along with an Alba hybrid and a champaca hybrid. I bought total 4 plants and all have bloomed remarkably well and all are grafted. My non-graft in ground in almost 20 feet and probably 4-5 years and no bloom. Another seedling from the USA I have planted in ground but no blooms for 2 years in pot. I guess you have to get a grafted plant to enjoy blooms. They seem to be perfectly happy in large pots, not sure how they will perform in the ground.
