Rs 1300 is a good bargain as its being sold for Rs 2000 here in Lahore.
I am considering to dump my plant.

Re: Magnolia figo/Michelia figo
Lucky you Izhar bhai to find this plant ! I am glad that this forum is helping our gardeners grow the neglected or rather unknown Magnolias in Karachi. Hope to see more of Magnolia species. How would you describe the fragrance and is it as strong as our motia or mild?

It also depends on sensitivity of nose (quality of olfactory receptors).

Re: Magnolia figo/Michelia figo
Many varieties of Michelia figo. I have this also and Khabbab posted a pic above. Plenty of blooms and exotic fragrance. It's not as intense as Michelia champaca and champaca X Alba.
So far I am experimenting with figo, figo port wine, figo Skinneriana, maudiae. It likes water or will likely get bud drop. Also do need to be careful with transplant. I transplanted mine this winter and I barely got a couple of blooms. Waiting to see performance in monsoon.
