Irfan sb indeed I am thinking. They were mistakenly planted by the mali in my absence. Im thinking of the feasabiloty of them growing above the open chattri structure which currently stands around 8ft

Ifzal sahib,
Bismarkia can make an impression if properly placed as evident in below Image of a private garden in Lahore in which the owner had made superb usage of Bismarkia.

That's amazing

Thats a lovely combination but unfortunately does not fit in with my plans. I am somewhat reluctant to disturb them in the forthcoming hot and dry haar season. Here is the structure whereupon both sides are planted bismarckia.... I am still thinking

Unfortunately I wont be in Pakistan. Then they will be at the mercy of the mali. Regardless the pruning and shaping of Ficus has not been to my satisfaction. Im considering removing some of the ficus and transplanting some choice palms as well as moving the Bismarckia. Alexander palm has been reccomended as it has a slim profile trunk. Any views are welcomed.
