SUCCESS STORY

Post by Muhammad Arif Khan »

I had a MALLI most experienced and learned of the lot. But he was a real mullah when it came to gardening. He was reluctant to sow seeds and would rather buy seedling. His sowing was usually a failure. Getting rid of him I tried my hand in germination of seeds and what a success it is.
My germination mix was, cured Cow dung manure 1 part, leaf compost 1 part, old pot soil 2parts, Kairy (broken bricks 1-2mm) 2 parts and coconut husk 2parts.
I filled the trays ½ Cm short and drenched them with water. Placed 2mm of coco coir on top placed the seeds and covered them with 2mm of coir, last step was spraying water and later watering it whenever the coir turned from dark brown to light brown. When true leaves appeared I gradually increased the exposure to sun and started feeding them with Pot. Nitrate 1Gm in 3 Litters of water.
As my beds were not ready I was forced to keep them in trays so I started feeding them with diluted NPK 2-1-2.
