vertical garden's are not new. in Paris just a stone throw away from the Eiffel tower there is great example of vertical growing... Only last week on BBC gardeners world they showed this man who lived in an apartment and he designed it himself really awesome i was really impressed by it.. shame i cant link you that episode of gardeners world as its on BBCi player and you can only watch in uk :(

this is not it, but 20 episodes of real gardens may help to inspire some of you

the thing with vertical growing is you wont be getting huge yields, but you can grow again and again through the season with things like herbs and lettuce, but obviously you cant grow pumpkins, aubergines or courgettes on the wall so you are some what limited, nevertheless its great if space is at a premium for you..

here are my potatoes i am growing in pots, i have been doing this for a few seasons now and i start of the chitted potatoes every two weeks this way i can harvest little amounts over the season instead of lots at the same time :) ok its not vertical growing but its amazing what you can grow in pots when you dont have soil garden.
