I found it on the internet and it seems so catchy to me..
is it possible... for me to take a chance on that.. means does the climate allows me...

Never knew it would sprout like that! When I think of coconut trees immediately the coast comes to mind. So thinking, it won't thrive in Lahore but will in Karachi. However, what's a Gardner who doesn't take a challenge! I'd say go for it if you want to try in Lahore.

Is it as simple as just planting a whole coconut?

Coconuts are endemic to tropical coastlines, they can tolerate salty sands and withstand the furious ocean winds, they are more suited to Karachi's climate... but will struggle if grown in Lahore unless provided they are in a greenhouse.

They are as simple to grow as seen in the pictures, just place the whole coconut which is the seed, at least two eyes of the coconut should touch the soil from where it will sprout and grow roots.
