You want to grow a vine on your roof. In a container on roof top?
To make a screen on one side of roof, screen the roof or act as a screen to living area on the roof?
Please elucidate.

Re: selection of a vine
To be able to suggest I need to know;
Is it for privacy or to block the sun?
The sitting area will be used in winter only or throughout the year?
What type of support are you planning for the vine?
Which side is the sunny side sitting area or the other?
You want the flowering vine or just the foliage?
