Khabbab , Mandevilla won't survive.

Btw I am in talks with a ouple of guys in thailanbd and hopefully they'll be able to provide caladium bulbs.Will update as soon as there's any progress.

No, it will. In fact it has survived for me. Take a look at this 9 month old mandevilla laxa i started from seed july 2011. I produced 2 plants, both survived winters and grew good in summers. One pot i put in green house in winter while other in open terrace just for experiment. Both did fine. You know if It survives first year, it will thrive next year
