Yes you can use it... remember, if you use a pesticide then always follow the solution making instructions on label and spray for 3 consecutive days in evening, then weekly for 2 weeks.. this eliminates the eggs and newly hatched pests...

Do I spray it on leaves or the soil?
And, I should only use it when the disease is severe, right?

I bought another rose bush today, didn't checked it while buying, so the thing is that after bringing it to home I found out that there were some little white pests on rose buds. Rosebuds petals like turned to brown color from outside. I opened it a bit and saw lots of these little white insects.
2 of the rose buds had lots of these pests so instead of spraying I pruned them and threw them away. Other buds had little amount of these pests but I didn't want to take a chance so sprayed them with the pesticide I had.
Now I think I've made 2 mistakes, I sprayed directly on the rose buds. Secondly I did it at around 5.30 pm and there was no sunlight that time. Though the foliage has dried up prettly well but rosebuds seemed to be wet from inside.

Izhar sir, could you please tell me the reason behind rose bushes producing twisted foliage? Some of new foliage also has burnt edges.
I'm also spraying that soapy water with oil for aphids, could this be the reason? And one more thing, I also water the foliage with pressure to remove any aphids daily.

Stop spraying.. this may have been causing this foliage damage, aphids are harmless creatures unless they are in thousands.. just wash them with plain water...

Actually the new bush had lots of them and some of them also attacked the other bush that was near it. So had to spray it.
Any ways, I only sprayed them twice at evening.
I've just noticed that twisted leaves have some brown spot from below. Could it be Aphids "Honey Dew" or the Downy Mildew!

Here they are:
You can see most of them are twisted and some have those brownish marks on underside of leaves.
I asked the nursery guy and he said it's not fungus. There are only some brown marks on twisted leaves, if it is downy mildew, it should have some of those white powder. Right?
BTW someone also told me that it happens mostly on grafted roses.
