Rose cuttings

Post by aykhan »

Just wondering since it's a good time to take most cuttings should I consider getting rose cuttings now or wait till the cool of January?

Khan sb this is best time for budding roses on wild root stock but not the time for cuttings.the best time for planting cuttings is when you prune your roses in early spring or end of the winter.the time depends on local pruning time.for Lahore it will be earlier than Islamabad just like in case of flowering.

I too think it's too hot still. I have one stem of the Ruttaya I can take cuttings from but think it would be better to wait another 2 weeksor so till highs go in the lower to mid 30s.
