Bearded Iris

Tall Beaded Iris are available here in Islamabad, Last year I visited him but he refused to sell his plants and now he is selling small shoot for Rs:500/-
According to his statement, four colors are available
1-Red
2-Lilac
3-Yellow
4-Blue

Lilac and yellow I have already, I bought one small shoot of Red one.
Photo is attached, interested friends can purchase from the said nursery.

I can imagine, Its a treasures for Iris lovers . The nursery is situated near Peshawar Morr and name is "Islamabad Nursery". You can give me a call at any time for further assistance.

Thanks Kaleem.i got it.its 15 minutes drive from my home.i will get my B.Irises from there.

Thats good, i forgot to add, ask the nursery man the plants which are in the ground. He has planted mother plants in the ground and offsets/babies are with them. He also has baby Irisplants in small pots but those are local varieties , so avoid those.

Kaleem do you know witch colours are available in Loacal varieties except usual purple and thank you for sharing I m also interested in trying Bearded

In local varieties there is only purple. When I was in Muzaffarabad, there I had seen White tall bearded Iris and those were grown on the graves in every graveyard. So in our religion it is prohibited to cut or dig plants from graveyards. So I came back from there with out this color.

Yes Kaleem Blue & White along paper whites are even in graveyards in Abbottabad.but its not good to dig any thing from grave yard.I,l get the Yellow & Red this weekend Inshallah.

I also visit Islamabad nursery regularly for cacti and succulents, awan sb who is the incharge there told me last year that they had TBI and Double daylilies in the ground and will offer them for sale when they multiply but he was not sure about the colours at that time...

Tahir sb you are absolutely right, now he offered double daylilies for Rs:500 too. I am waiting for the blooms of double daylilies and will purchase those also.
