Other Details | This rare strain of I. tricolor is an annual climbing vine that can reach lengths of 12ft-15ft. The 4-9cm trumpet-shaped flowers on this gorgeous Morning Glory are pure white with narrow pinwheel blue stripes. The spiralled leaves on the tricolor glories are large and heart shaped. Like all morning glories the plant entwines itself around structures, growing to a height of 2–3 m tall. The leaves are heart-shaped and the stems are covered with brown hairs. The flowers are trumpet-shaped,3–6 cm diameter,This is a stunning garden plant. In the summer, it can be used as an annual climber on walls, fences, over arches, or as ground cover. The large flower buds open to reveal deep purple, silk-like, 7cm (3in) blooms with lighter centres. You can also grow it in a container, where it will cascade over the side. If it is supported, it will climb to form a dome. Try letting it scramble over shrubs and in among other plants.Keep soil moist, misting is recommended as it loves water. It grows well indoors or outdoors if offered plenty of sunlight.. |
