Other Details | Tecoma stans belongs to the family of beautiful ornamental plants. The word stans means erect (because of its growing habit). Heat-loving plants produce large gold flowers and glossy green leaves. Tecoma grows very easily in pots and in the ground. Avoid over watering. It is a maintenance free plant. If your garden is missing deep yellow coloured flowers, Tecoma is one of the best choices. It has a very long flowering season, from early summer to late fall. Note the glossy green greens and deep yellow flower combination. This is a shrub or small tree that reaches 15-20 feet in height and can be pruned heavily after flowering to keep it compact.
