Other Details Malva 'Zebrina' is a popular heirloom plant with pale pink flowers that are striped purple. It blooms the first year from seed, so it can be grown as an annual in cold zones. Also known as French Hollyhock or Zebra Mallow.it is very easy to grow and will bloom profusely in a sunny position Although it is regarded as a plant suitable for part shade, it will grow less spindly in full sun.
A very easily grown plant, carefree and requiring no maintenance. It will succeed in ordinary garden soil, though it prefers a reasonably well-drained and moderately fertile soil.Water the plant deeply throughout the first growing season, providing enough moisture to saturate the root zone. Deep watering creates healthy plants with strong, deep roots. Allow the top 3 inches of the soil to dry before watering again, because consistently soggy soil may lead to rot or fungal disease. Once established, the plant requires water only during hot, dry weather.
