Munir sb, if you can send close ups of both of your plants I can post it in another forum which may have professional botanists. Euonymus should have serrated / wavy leaf margins like your second plant but the leaf margins are not clear in the first picture.

A. Planted as Star Jasmine B. Planted as Euonymus C.Two leaves each of 'A' & 'B' are on the left & top, respectively.Third pair of leaves on the right added for identification, as they look identical to 'A'.

Munir sb, So far three replies:
Picture no. 1 (which was sold as star jasmine) is also Euonymus, as Hamad rightly pointed out. Nobody is sure of the species
Picture no. 2 (which was sold as Euonymus) is correctly identifies as Euonymus-one person says it is Euonymus fortunei Blondy. From Google images it looks exactly like E. fortunei Blondy
"Both are either E. fortunei or E. japonicus which are somewhat hard to distinguish on photos. Probably the easiest method is to check their habit: E. fortunei cultivars tend to have a creeping/climbing habit, while E. japonicus is an upright shrub."

Thank you, Farooq. Let us wait for more replies before we form our final opinion. What about the 3rd plant; didn't you offer it for identification?

Yes Farooq, there was a third pair of leaves also, which closely resembeled those of Plant A & had to be identified. Leave the leaves now- it is Vinca Major.M Farooq wrote:Did we miss something? We only had plant A =(star jasmine) and B (=Euonymus)?
Thank you for your efforts.
