Other Details
Copper leaf plant adds a new colour to the garden by its red coloured foliage. The word cotinifolia in its name means smoketree like leaves. Thus from far away, it looks like a reddish smoke. It is a very easy to maintain plant and, like mot Euphorbias it is pest free. The latex (milk) is said to be poisonous. Avoid windy locations as it will distort its beautiful shape. The new leaves are easily damaged by wind. It does not tolerate water logging so the soil should ideally have good drainage. Can be grown as border trees in large lawns. Images by M. Munir.
