Other Details Everybody loves white daisy flowers. ‘Asti White’ blooms are pure white with blue centers. The large blooms, 2 to 2-1/2 inches across, are borne on stems that gracefully wave in the wind. The thick fleshy leaves indicate its drought tolerance, which makes this a preferred annual when grown under dry conditions. The name Osteospermum is derived from the Greek osteon (= bone) and Latin spermum (= seed). Osteospermums belong to the daisy family ( Compositae / Asteraceae), hence their common names: African Daisy or South African Daisy, Cape Daisy and Blue-eyed Daisy.Plants prefer a warm and sunny position and rich soil, although they tolerate poor soil, salt or drought well. Modern cultivars flower continuously when watered and fertilised well, and dead-heading is not necessary. If planted in a container, soil should be prevented from drying out completely.

Category may be rechecked. If I remember correctly, flower's white colour has a slight bluish tinge, which makes it charming, or this feeling is because of the blue center ? Farhan may please confirm.

Short lived perennial. If protected in summer, will bloom again as soon as temperature goes down. In spring planting it blooms till early summer.
Seeds come true but F-2 Plant is less floriferous.
Benefits from deadheading. Flower life is a day or max 2. If deadheaded plant will stop blooming after certain time, will regain strength(lull period) and bloom again. However plant will loose its composure.
Flowers close in the evening or during rain, which is a plant defense to protect it reproductive organs in adverse conditions.
Faded flower and flower which still has some time left can be differentiated by curling of petals.
