Have you googled the images of Zoysia tenuifolia??

Actually there is no grass by the name of "American grass", a name which is common in Karachi. However, if you search "Korean grass" you will end up with the "American grass" of Karachi.

It spreads mostly between the months of March and October, for the rest of the year it forms least stolons.. it is a mounding type grass and if not mowed regularly, it forms bare patches..

Ya, I did google for the same and saw the result of Korean Grass and also the Zoysia grass......

As you said, i also read about this type of grass and was confused by the term 'Mounding Grass'

What does this mean or what do they intend to state..... Is it that this grass grows very thick and the lawn is not very flat rather there are clumps of grass which form mounds.....................

Aoa i personally like American grass.but taste differs.dont purchase seeds, purchase good quality turf.Unique nursery have both vrities along fine Dhaka.Koran is also good but very slow growing major problem it develpoes bumps so the lawn is not smooth, very hard in moving.plant some roses.Fateh Muhammad Nursery is leading name in roses.visit them after 10th JAN for healthy bushes.for anuuals see Pak flora nursery.all nurseries are located in PWR mod.

Yes defenitly, maintaing a good turf is the hardes task in gardening in my experince.you cant weed freely like in flower beds.whenever there is a brown patch every one points it out.Korean needs much more care compared as to Bermuda grass.if your lawn is about 10 marlas grow korean other wise go for american grass(bermuda grass) Izhar is right there is no American grass in reality.this name is only used locally in our country.bermuda spreads very fast.
