Steve from Lahore/UK

Post by steve »

Hi Everyone
I'm from the UK but been living in Lahore, off and on, for 10 years now!
I'm a very keen gardener, but growing in Lahore is very different to growing here!
Anyway, I live in an upper portion so all of my growing is in tubs/ pots but every year I good good crops of vegetables - got some bengun almost ready for picking now. Also, plenty of fruit trees including guava, pomegranate, kumquat, lemon, orange, olive, fig, chikoo.I also like to grow scented flowers as much as possible.
Growing plants in the Uk is so different from here - the sowing seasons are different and the conditions (especially summer in Lahore!) creates a number of challenges!!!!
