Hello from Karachi! Growing in Punjab
Hello all!
I'm a new member on this group, and also very new to farming / gardening. Though I don't have a background in agriculture, I'm interested in tree farming in the Jatli area of Punjab - approx 30 KM from Chakwal towards Gujjar Khan.
Looking forward to having a meaningful exchange with all members here!

Thanks very much for your responses, Arif and Yawer.
To elaborate on what I've discussed above, I've got approx. 50 acres of land in the Mirpur Sakro area of Sindh as well (lower Sindh, Thatta district), where I'm starting eucalyptus agro forestry. I intend on doing the same in the Jatli area as well, in Punjab, though, since the water-table in Jatli isn't as high as is in Sindh, I'm not sure if it is suitable for eucalyptus farming? Are I have in Jatli is around 30 acres. My concern is, I believe other plants / vegetables don't grow too well around eucalyptus plantations. Is that so? Also, any idea which vegetables / fruits can grow well along with eucalyptus in the two areas mentioned (Jatli and Mirpur Sakro)? In Mirpur, my neighbours grow a lot of green chillies, and a couple of KM away, towards Badin, a lot of sugarcane is grown.

Re: Hello from Karachi! Growing in Punjab
I have eucalyptus trees, poplar too not much but around perhaps 20 or so along with pine, diyar, kel and moringa. Last year winter vegetables grew very well around these trees.
For a full fledged forest can't be sure.
water table at my place is 65 feet.
