Sir, the purpose of such venture would be simple.... To educate people, newcomers, amateurs and even skilled gardeners through How To Do videos of seed sowing, transplanting, grafting etc. Answering a query will become simple and one who does not know anything about gardening can know step by step process of gardening it will be like DIY videos.

We will paste the links and make separate threads on specific topics.... it will be a dream come true who does not understand techniques for safe gardening practices.

Then,it is certainly a noble purpose.Have I have understood it correctly from your reply, that our Forum presently does not this facility/wherewithal on its own?

Yes, according to my knowledge we don't have video uploading facility right now... we will make a channel by the name of this forum on YouTube or any other site and from there the user would be able to browse other videos on that channel as well.

We can embed youtube videos. While posting message look at the right most corner of the toolbar. The problem is that youtube is banned

I had a tiny suggestion: Why don't we start with "Videos on Demand" on a convenient platform rather than tutorial videos.

Say for example we make a section here for "Requested videos" where people ask a question that requires a demonstration. Lets say air-layering or grafting of a certain plant. Then a volunteer may make a 10 minute video answering that specific question. I guess that will be interesting.

Making a quality video is no doubt a demanding task, but once it gets popularized, more people will join in. And secondly, people have been pretty shy here in the sense that nobody wanted to show their face despite so many requests by Farhan, how can I expect that they will make a video while avoiding their face :-).

Hahahahaha... Farooq sb i'll shortly reveal myself :) Farhan bhai has already seen me on Facebook.
VOD is a good idea but we can also add simple videos like seed starting, transplanting, re-potting etc as well for a head start :)

Those simple videos would be helpful as well, probably for beginners. But more advanced videos could be grafting, air layering from the initiated. I have never tried those approaches myself ... (actually did but without success). Lets see what others have to say.

Hmm kisi ki darhdhi mein tin-ka nikla ! ;-)

Gardening Pakistan Channel created :D

The name is a bit conflicting with the YouTube team and me, i selected the name Gardening Pakistan but they refused because of the reason it seemed inappropriate so i named it "Gardening Pakistan GP"

I have filed an appeal to get the desired name, they gave a 24 hour window.. lets see what happens :)
