Pakistan Gardening Forum

There is no doubt that forum is invaluable and progressing well.However we did face difficulty in creating Flora Database in the limited script of the phpbb. Though again whatever state the database is presently is commendable.Moreover, there were suggestions coming in for a complete portal encompassing various segments of gardening/website.

Presently we are working on a web portal related to Pakistan Gardening.
It will supposedly include following segments...

Forum (Pakistan Gardening Forum).
Plant Database (Pictorial/on lines of photo albums similar to flora of India)
Seed Bank
Personal Blogs of interested members including new and existing.
Gardening articles and other related infos.
and any other section as suggested by combine wisdom of members.

Domain has been reserved and work is in progress, after initial work, members can chip in to help improve the portal.
This portal is sort of an extension of current forum to include features such as plant database in photo album mode.

Good idea. Which platform are you going to use for new portal? Phpbb or some thing else? Apart form addition of articles section what else will be there? Any linkage with facebook, etc.. Pl share more details for better suggestions from members like me..
