Understanding weather Radar/Sattelite Images
Weather radars are located at various locations in Pakistan. They detect moisture and charge. Black color mean no/negligible moisture .....and max is indicated by Red color. Generally in most intense system we will see white color cloud with dark blue spots. White color represents CB Cell i.e. Cumulonimbus Clouds which have heavy charge, moisture and can result in heavy downpour. CB cells rise KMs high in the sky. If you see the image closely, legend is available in bottom right indicating different levels of moisture(clouds).

Forecast is based on wind directions and speeds which are mapped through weather balloons hoisted at various altitudes.
In monsoon, systems are made in Bay of Bengal. Reason being that land heats up quickly as compared to ocean. This Air in land area rise above creating a low pressure area, winds from ocean, laden with moisture rush to equalize this imbalance. hindered by Himalayas, these systems give rain.
