Re: Little Effort
For Iris you need to wait for the bloom...
You can start with paper white narcissus.. they bloom easily in warm regions... nowadays you can buy blood lily and daylily, both do well in warm region

@khalidaminryk
Great to see someone growing bulbs successfully in a warm region like RYK. It would be interesting to see how the same bulbs perform next year. Thanks for sharing Sir.

Re: Little Effort
Khalid sb freesias are the most successful bulbs or to be exact corms in Pakistan, i've been growing them for 5 years, started from 10 corms now have 100s, at the end of the season you can dig out the freesia corms when the foliage completely dies off, clean the dirt and set them aside in a shady spot for a week.khalidaminryk wrote:thanx all..

then put them in a cardboard box in a cool ventilated place and plant them again next season.... all sizes of corms will sprout back even the small cormels if stored properly.
Ranunculus can also be saved the same way.. wait for the foliage to die off completely, then dig out the tubers wash with cold water of all the dirt, set them aside for a week in a shady spot away from sunlight when they get dry and wrinkly put them in a paper bag or a cardboard box like freesias this way you can save them for next year..
one other thing to prevent fungal growth on bulbs and tubers sprinkle some fungicide powder and powdered limestone (choona) in the bulb box or bag.
