These were planted in silty sand with very little manure.

Nothing compares to the rich scent of saffron. Are the stamens when steeped in warm water or milk very aromatic? I have my fingers crossed for you.

Yes it gave a very rich color in water and a mild aroma as tested with three stamens only.
Have about 15 more sprouted
plants so shall wait for more flowers.
Medium : silty sand
No compost
No manure (except a little in One )
No fertilizer etc.

One pot in Lahore for last one week. So with time can be sure. So far plant is fine but unless it blossoms can't be sure.
