Spring 2013 !!

Post by hasnain »

A not so warm welcome to the spring this year. Its been an extended winter. Wet and Cloudy which has resulted in limited growth of paneeri of bahaar plants. At the moment only plants in the pots are blooming ! Stay tuned for more. Need sunshine !!

Creative. Lovely plants. So much is already in bloom for you, don't worry this is going to be the last spell of winter rains.
I would suggest painting your left over clay pots with red or brown paint for even more charming appearance.

How is your experience with primula. I found it difficult and unable to cope up with the heat. Are you growing them in shade or sun?

By the way you are also looking smart in reflection :-)

@Farhan Sb, thank you for your lovely comments :)
Yes i've been planning to paint the pots since long but couldnt get time. Will do so very soon Inshallah.
The primulas in the picture are in shade. They just get a couple of hours of early mornig sun. They are doing well so far as the temperature has not grown considerably. I dead head them on daily basis due to which the blooming is good and continuous so far. I have a few pots in sun and they are doing much better then the ones in shade.

@Adnan Sb, will post closer pictures soon.

Thank You.

@Rafique Sb, normally plastic containers dont come with a hole at the bottom for drainage. Make a small hole for drainage at the bottom. Clay pots have natural system of drainage as water evaporates out of the pores automatically while in plastic pots there's no such system. Due to this watering should only be done once the moisture from previous watering is just about to dry off.

Thank You.

Nice arrangement. Primulas look good and I think they should thrive well in this cold weather.
