Lupin

Post by Farhan Ahmed »

At last success.....plant is not as grand as it should be but good for a start. About a foot high, all have buds which are slowly opening up. Tahir these were your seeds, do you remember the cultivar?

Lovely flower.
May this cultivar be dewarf or its climatic effect on the plant?
Is there any cultivar having height of 1 feet?

Nothing special. They were sowed around mid October in ground after initial failure with same seeds due to poorer mixture in pot. Then these were transplanted to their current position. Soil was reasonably well prepared. This winter we had quite a few frosty nights, maybe that could be one reason. Seedlings were given plastic shade from Around December to mid Jan. No fertilizer except once urea solution, when i saw lower leaves browning. After which i have observed that ratio of lower leaves turning brown has very much reduced.
