so this is how it went:
1- had a bougainvillea growing
2- choose 3 scions from boldly growing plants. since this was an experiment took young shoots and small branches (showing potential for new growth)
3- exposed the ends of scion to make them wedge like
4- split the main plant's recepient end
5- placed the wedge in
6- covered with strips i took out from shopping bags (blue plastic in the pics)
7- now waiting to see what happens
seems easy enough

I hope u used a knife to make the wedge shape. The anvil shears in the picture would make the cuts go wrong. The two cambiums must align.
But it seems u r a natural at gardening:)

sadly I got busy in exams n stuff they got really neglected. none of the 4 made it through.
rooted a new branch to make a smaller bonsai though.

ur a good observer, I used a blade. this was my first ever attempt, i did nt know much. Yes alligned the greener parts. Sadly none made it through.
