Very low participation by members .. This calls for having a main page of the group where members cant miss such things...like Polls, important announcements, etc... I don't know if the technology permits this .. Which portal are we using, by the way? I have basic knowledge about portal administration.

This is as prominent that we can make it...we have a sub heading with opinion polls on the top in forum announcement. There are news alert banner type mods available but Mods require full admin control over the directories where phpbb is hosted (maybe remotely also). Out of my scope

Yup ready.. But a highly controlled (moderated) market place.

Very true but for start we can open this market place section on a trial experimental basis for a month to see how things go.... after that moderators and admins of the forum can decide whether it is feasible or not.

Sir market place is a proposed sub-section where we are proposing commercial selling to be allowed with some restrictions. It is ought to be a highly moderated/controlled subsection. Following is the discussion that took place on the subject.

A poll was also conducted to seek members views. Its apparent that more than 90% membership is in favor of this highly controlled subsection. With your input and other senior members we will move forward and create this subsection. As a moderator i will personally control this section for spamming and other related issues so that the real essence of Forum is not spoiled.


Other than this we re-arranged forum into many subsections for ease of reading. This is the thread for discussion. You may suggest any change you desire and we will improve upon it like subsections etc. You may read this thread and present any suggestions

We added poll feature for all members. That is if you like to create a poll regarding anything you can by posting a new thread in opinion poll subsection(poll is allowed only in this specific subsection). It is very easy tool which appears just beside upload attachment tab. You can ask if you face any problem.

My dear Farhan,
THANK YOU FOR UP DATING ME.
In these two months of my absence, lot of water has flown under the bridge, oh I forget, it was the rainy season.
I love to see things growing and admire the changes in right direction.
I do not believe in “as it has always been done so it must be correct”, I would like to confirm that it is so.
It will take me a little time to absorb what has been said before butting in.
