Motia
The problem that I am having regarding motia plant is its leaves are not as much big as the motia's that are in gardens outside my house and they are much lighter in colour and others are dark. In addition, My motia is in big container and perfectly blooming.

Re: Motia
Seems reasonably healthy to me.
Its not chlorotic
Some leaves do turn yellowish with age
avoid over watering, add a little fertilizer
and look for mites/webs underneath leaves

Re: Motia
I had just posted a reply and it vanished by some mistake. Anyways you plant is quite young. We had 100s of motia growing in the same bed. Some flowered profusely, some produced less flowers. So you will see little bit variations in the same plants species, just like we see variation in humans despite the fact we are all same species.
Just feed it with khaad. Chemical fertilizers are better suited for flowers growing in flower beds etc. As to your question, any fertilizer which which increases soil pH above 7, will reduce available iron and other trace elements. And, as Farhan said you won't see any effect with small doses. However, high concentration of phosphate, binds both iron and zinc very strongly to itself and the plants cannot use that iron.Mustansir Billah wrote:JazakAllah!
