Citrus plants propagation....

Post by aykhan »

Anyone know when best to air-layer citrus plants (eg Malta, Kinu, Musamee). Are cuttings better or air-layering?

Dr sb Moonsoon is the the moth for grafting in citrus. You can also air layer citrus in moon soon. I don,t know about cuttings but grafting is better than the air layering. We in KPK use narje surkh where as in Punjab naraje katha is used as root stock. If you need some buds i l send you Red blood buds. But one thing climate matters too much. Our malta is superior in taste but when it comes to Kino Bhalwal is on the top. Some years back i brought someGuava plants from Kohat which are very tasty. But they do not produce fruit of that taste which we enjoy at Kohat.Same is the case with Mango. Mangoes from Sindh & Punjab are of prime quality.
