Bedding/Covering/Landscape Ideas for the lawns

Post by yasirbbutt »

AOA everyone. I have some area which is in need of upgrading post construction. i need some ideas as to how to beautify it.
please note:

1. Bedding will be preferred.
2. Options should be cheap, i.e. no expensive seedlings or flowers. Max seedling (paneeri) pot price should not exceed Rs. 100.
3. Lawn on the left side of pic 3 and same lawn on the left side of pic 2 (same lawn but from opposite direction) will have 3 benches with tables made of wood. It is no. 1 lawn
4. Pic 2 is the same area as the above pics. the division of the 2 lawns in this pic can be finished and replaced with tiles only. These are lawn no 2 (far one) and lawn no. 3 (near one)
5. I have an idea of Pansy/Petunia/Dianthus bed.
6. I don't want to grow grass here.

Waiting for suggestions.
Regards & Thanks.

This is large area...will require quite a few seedlings. For such ventures own seed works better. Anyhow i recommend reading the beds first both in terms of form and media..and then go for zinnias....get seeds and sow them in situ in about two weeks time.

For sunny locations pick Snap dragon Sonnet & Petunia Falcon. For partial shade pick Pansy Majestic giants II.the max price of per pot of seedlings is Rs 100 (Islamabad). Your area is large & its better to plant each variety in separate colors. It will give best impact if you can grow Sonnet in the back & Petunia in the front.

Thanks a lot Farhan. Can you guide me how to ready/prepare the lawns, i.e., sand, clay or bahl (which is 20%sand and 80% soil) in my area. Also how to plant zinnia seeds here.
