Re Planting Motia and jasmin

Post by amjadkd »

I live in dubai UAE. I am very fond of gardening.
I have several Motia plants that are about 3 years old and are quite big.
How do i replant for some new ones. I need to spread them all over the garden.

If these are in ground than and as you said they are 3 years old than replanting them is a challenge. One basic thing you have to know that transplanting is not a naturally occurring process. They are marked as developed plants and their roots are far deep in the soil. Still if you want to transplant than
1. Dig deep around the plant and make sure that you do least harm to the roots.
2. Try not to remove the soil from the root ball as they also contain feeder roots.
3. Plant them at the new location.
4. Pruned the plant to half on its size.
5. Water well around the plant which will decrease the chances of shock.
6. Plant them in plain soil i.e. no Manure or any type of fertilizer.
7. Finally, do this process in evening or early in the morning.
