AOA, everyone.
I had recently purchased Gardenia, imported from Holland, and for the first week it was fine with lot of new buds but then buds started falling (pics attached). I put that indoor (air-conditioned room) near a window so as to get the morning sunlight and water it lightly (not soggy). Can anybody advice what is going wrong and what needs to be done.

Thanks in advance for your support.

Regards
Asif

These are greenhouse plants which do survive outdoors but the chances are low... best is to take the cuttings and start new plants... they like warm conditions and prefer open sunlight (except for the afternoon sun)...

You are watering it correctly, try to give it more sun..

They become dormant in our winters and bloom in spring, here is mine.. a variegated one just coming back to life and loaded with blooms:

Look how healthy it was last September:

Yes this one is mine

I added plenty of peat moss in the soil and gave it Engro NPK 17:17:17 in 2014.. no ferrous sulfate for it.. rightnow i have added composted manure and once the new growth is 2-3 inches i will start giving it NPK monthly...

This is a square shaped bed actually.. its just beside my home's front gate..
