Please explain DAP

Post by Khalid1 »

Assalam-O-Alaikum friends,

Can anyone tell me what is the function of DAP in plants, is it use for blooming and flowering purposes? And if yes then what is the NPK ratio of it?

Actually i need organic fertilizer which is high numbers in PK. Please tell me from where can i buy the same.

Thanks!

Walaikumassalam,

DAP is Di-Ammonium Phosphate and its NPK is 18-46-0... it is very helpful in vegetative growth of plant...

For organic fertilizers High in K, you can use banana peels... for organic fertilizer high in P you can use bonemeal..

Thanks Izhar sahab for the fruitful reply.

I have read somewhere about the bonemeal that it is not readily available for plants and a slow release fertilizer. Is there anything else that can be readily available and can be used for plants as P ??

Yes you have read correct that bonemeal doesnt readily available to plants... for its quick availability you can mix it with vinegar... 1 tablespoon bonemeal+2 tablespoon vinegar left for 10 minutes then mixed with 1-2 litre of water to make a good fertilizer solution...
