Spray with water, though the damage is irreversible...

I had exactly the same damage and only on Rrenunculus
I have removed all damaged parts of the surviving plants.

in my experience no cure of this problem...it happens with ranunculus and mimulus due to unknown reason.

this damage is done by limdacloprid so the solution is ranannculus should be sprayed less than recommended doze and remove the affected parts.

In future I would be using only soap water.
