In Pakistan do you grow Dahila from seeds or tubers? Tuber produce better larger flowers.

Myrtle's Folly Dahlia

This intriguing 8" dahlia has a dual personality. Top petals are yellow and orange, but beneath they are a surprise in pink. These were popular colour combinations when it was introduced in the 1960s. Today, these colours have a wonderful retro appeal. Grow these dahlias at the back of a border or in your cutting garden where their astonishing colours shine. Plant in full sun to partial shade.

Zones: 3-10*
* Lift in fall if you live in Zones 3-7
Size: #1 Clumps
Height: 3-5'
Light: Sun to Part Shade
Bloom Time: Early Summer
Deer Resistant

I grow the gint decoratives every year in color combinations from rooted cuttings.the rooted cuttings give more flowers than the tubers.its just because of our climate.in Abbottabad,Galiyat & Swat no need of cuttings every year.In these locations Dahlia flowers in summer where as in plains it flower from Nov-Mrch.the tubers from cuttings do not produce that quality flowers which we wxpect in next year. After rose there is nothing like Dahlia.so many colors & combinations,so many sizes & shapes, long blooming time.mums also have so many colors but i dont like it because of its short time display.i have uprooted some 50 decorative mums this year.i got them 3 years back from CMH Peshawar as its not easy to get the giant mums fom nursries ere in Pakistan.
